Volunteer
Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer at Disability Network!
We rely on our dedicated volunteers for so much of what we accomplish in our 17 county region. From advocacy work and voicing our needs to legislators, to educating our community and mentoring individuals.
Every gift of time and resources makes a HUGE difference in the lives of the people we serve.
Ways YOU can help:
Access Team Member: Survey businesses and public spaces for accessibility, assist individuals with learning how to use public transit.
Board Membership: Provide oversight and help guide the policy and strategic development of Disability Network as it pursues its mission
Community Advocate: Attend local collaborative meetings as a DN/NM representative in your community. Advocate on behalf of individuals with disabilities.
Fund Development Committee: Enhance our fundraising and marketing efforts, write grants, and assist with coordinating fundraising opportunities.
Grand Vision Work Group: Collaborate with team members and provide input to improve our community in the areas of Energy, Food & Farming, Growth & Investment, Housing, Natural Resources, and/or Transportation.
Independent Living and Peer Support: Become a mentor or program assistant, visit isolated individuals and assist with daily living tasks.
Office Assistant: Offer technical help, write stories for our website and newsletter, connect customers to resources, enter data, help with filing and mailings.
Program Committe: Provide insight regarding how Disability Network can enhance programs to best service the needs of our community.
